Job Description

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for supporting and customizing Salesforce.com implementation. Activities will include responding to user support requests, system administration and customization, report and dashboard creation, training end-users on new and existing functionalities.

In addition to acting as System Administrator for the Salesforce.com application, the successful candidate will support data quality and integrity both within Salesforce and between Salesforce and other IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administrate and support the Salesforce.com platform and validate daily data integration

  • Work cross functionally with Sales, CSM, SEN and other departments to refine and scope requirements derived from their needs and objectives

  • Strong technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administration tasks including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles, workflows, processes, flows, validation rules, approval processes, email alerts, advanced formulas, custom objects, reports, dashboards, page layouts, record types, Lightning pages and installed packages

  • Simplify the CRM platform by identifying and deleting unused fields, workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, objects, user profiles and more 

  • Maintain data quality by identifying, deleting or merging duplicate records, cleansing and updating inaccurate data

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity

  • Assist in the implementation of security practices by monitoring login and user activity, auditing fields, profile access, security permissions and deactivating unused users

  • Follow good development practices by testing changes within the Salesforce sandbox before deploying to production.  Ensure that all changes are documented, reviewed, tested, and approved before being deployed

  • Develop and implement training for users, keep training materials up-to-date

Qualifications

  • Experience with Data Analysis and Cleanup

  • Pragmatic, self-directed with attention to detail

  • Analytical skills to respond to requested changes and identify customizations

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Team player with service-oriented attitude and desire to be “the voice of the users”

  • Experience working directly with internal customers

  • Willingness to develop a solid understanding of the organization structure, business processes and objectives

  • Understanding of general sales and marketing principles

COMPLEMENTARY SKILLS THAT WOULD BE APPRECIATED

  • Certified Salesforce administrator with 2+ year Administrator experience

  • Comfortable with complementary tools: Pardot etc.
