Job Description

The role of Risk Analyst is to assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of the Risk Management framework. Providing hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support. The Risk Analyst must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes. The role requires interacting with people at all levels across the organization in form of gathering information, analyzing, synthesizing and presenting it in an accessible manner.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build, review and update Risk Management framework.
  • Perform cyclical risk identification on the level of strategy, operations and projects,
  • Assess risks according to predefined model.
  • Determine solutions to minimize or eliminate risks.
  • Prepare cyclical reporting. 
  • Promote Risk Management knowledge across the company 
  • Support Management in other related actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree
  • Understanding of basic concepts of Risk Management
  • First work experience in risk management/ internal audit/ external audit / financial reporting or related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 
  • Languages: English - full professional proficiency, French would be a plus
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and strategy skills
  • Good research skills
  • Planning and organizational skills and problem-solving ability
  • IT competence and computer literacy
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly
  • Business awareness
  • The capacity to work independently and cope with responsibility and meet deadlines
  • A professional approach to work, integrity and respect for ethics
  • The confidence to relate to a range of people and to challenge people when necessary
