Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Machine Learning & Data Engineer to join our growing EV Labs Team, responsible for using machine learning to drive innovation across the organization. As this is a newly created position, you must thrive in a start-up environment, be proactive, detail oriented and eager to learn and keep up with an evolving product landscape.

What will you be doing?

You will be leading and pioneering building data pipelines and machine learning models at production scale. Our projects cover many fields including supervised & unsupervised machine learning, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and graph theory.

Among the tasks foreseen:

• Set up new integrations with external data providers

• Build reliable and resilient services

• Write services and utilities that rapidly ensure the quality of the data being received and transforms it into a usable form

• Build data ingestion architecture for post-processing services that will run a pipeline of algorithms

• Implement Machine Learning models using code

• Work alongside data scientists to test, build and operate various proof and concepts until they reach a production-ready state

• Ensure that data science code is maintainable and scalable

• Look constantly for performance improvements and help decide which ML technologies will be used in the production environment

Who we are looking for:

• Eager to learn attitude and logical problem-solving skills

• Enthusiastic, can-do attitude who can work independently as well as contribute to the team

• Strong communication skills both within and outside teams.

• Ability to explain complex topics to non-engineers.

• Demonstrable software engineering experience from work experience preferably in Python.

What you will need to be successful:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience

• Strong knowledge and interest in machine learning

• Experience building data pipelines

• Experience building machine learning models in production

• Proficiency in Python

• Knowledge of Tensorflow, Keras and Scikit.

• Autonomous, detail-oriented

• Enjoy working as a team-player and learning from others.

• Fluent in English (French is not mandatory)

• Knowledge of HTTP protocol, RESTful APIs, SaaS models

• Knowledge of database and NoSQL datastore architectures(MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL or similar)

• Knowledge of distributed architectures

• Knowledge in Python, Cloud infrastructure

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field

Bonus:

• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP

• A DevOps mindset, including experience with docker and container orchestration

• Knowledge of other languages, ecosystems, and CI/CD tools
