Job Description

EcoVadis seeks an Inside Sales Manager to join our Toronto branch and manage our new local sales team.

The Inside Sales Team comprises two teams:

  • Membership team: responsible for successfully selling the EcoVadis value proposition to database prospects and inbound leads, primarily over the phone. Target clients will consist of small to large companies across North America

  • Sales Development team: responsible for generating new Enterprise business opportunities for the Account Executives who operate in the field. Target clients will consist of XL companies (Fortune 2000) across North America.

In this role you will:

  • Build and manage both the Membership and Sales Development teams in Toronto,

  • Maintain headcount via recruiting,training and retaining talent for your team,

  • Lead by example by demonstrating EcoVadis’ core values and inspiring a culture of top performing team players,

  • Display an ability to build confidence and trust with direct reports as well as provide developmental feedback for continuous improvement,

  • Besides your managerial role, you will also have operational sales responsibilities:

    • Close new business consistently at or above quota level,

    • Develop business in your assigned region by following up with Marketing inbound leads and cold-calling existing members in the EcoVadis database.

Given the steep growth of EcoVadis, your role and responsibilities will be permanently evolving and might encompass part, all or more of the above.

Qualifications

You must have an outgoing personality along with an exceptional level of drive and a desire to build a highly successful and effective sales team. You should have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills, as well as the ability to lead and coach people.

As a data-driven organization, you will be required to use a variety of measurement tools including Salesforce dashboards and reports, scorecards, and surveys to gauge the effectiveness of your work within your team.

What you need to have to qualify:

  • University Degree,

  • 5+ years of quota carrying experience, previous management/leadership experience is a necessary, SaaS environment preferred,

  • Experience coaching, leading and running a consultative sales process,

  • Call center operations management experience will be highly appreciated,

  • Superior coaching skills around sales opportunities,

  • Superior communications skills and the ability to capture an audience during a presentation,

  • Interest or passion for Sustainability,

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines,

  • Demonstrate high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce proficiency is a plus,

  • Ability to work well in an international start-up team environment.
