Job Description

To fuel our global expansion, we are seeking an experienced and energetic marketer to serve as the Event & Field Marketing Team Leader as well as Head of Field Marketing in EMEA.

As team leader of a small group of regionally-based field marketers, this role will be responsible for defining team processes for field marketing planning, event and campaign execution and results analysis.

Additionally, as the head of field marketing for EMEA, this role will develop, adapt and execute marketing programs to increase market awareness, generate demand, accelerate pipeline and grow sales in Europe. The role will combine event marketing -- which will include coordinating both internal and external conferences, webinars, intimacy events, press briefings, etc. -- as well as contributing to localized digital and print/direct mail campaigns.

What you will be doing:

  • Team Management: Define best practice processes for field marketing planning, event management and campaign execution, including tight coordination with inside sales and account executives.  Partner with and mentor peer field marketers in other regions (N. America, APJ, LATAM).  Drive strategic annual planning with Chief Marketing Officer.

  • EMEA Strategy: Develop and manage Field Marketing Plans in key European countries for the EcoVadis offerings (may include both buy- and sell-side activities).  This encompasses understanding customer segmentation, adapting or developing persona definitions, collaborating with sales and continually tracking plans against performance and ROI.

  • Events:

    • Manage EcoVadis portfolio of internal and external (i.e. sponsored) events (including our marquee annual “Sustain” event) from budget, planning, promotion, on-site event setup and support, through to lead capture, post-event ROI calculation and feedback/participant surveys.

    • Liaise with external suppliers including production teams, event hosts, partners, hotels and venues, talent and entertainment.

    • Work closely with a range of internal departments, including marketing, sales and account managers, as well as clients and speakers/content contributors.

    • Manage inventory and logistics of event booth/stand, banners, equipment, giveaways, brochures & collateral, etc.

    • Bring innovative and creative ideas to make our events stand out from the competition.

    • Events include regional webinars and intimacy events such as workshops, breakfasts, networking cocktail hours and dinners.

  • Local campaigns and sales enablement:

    • Contribute to designing and executing inbound and outbound campaigns as well as account-based marketing plans to acquire new customers, expand and retain installed base, generate net new pipeline and accelerate opportunities in EMEA.

    • Support and help execute digital strategies in specific regions, including email campaigns, social media presence/groups, and paid media opportunities in conjunction with the global team.

    • Work with the sales team to maintain the Target Account list.

    • Adapt and optimize global demand generation campaigns for both enterprise/procurement prospects as well as broader supplier marketing campaigns (mostly SMEs)

    • Support sales enablement by adapting / localizing sales decks, brochures and other materials.

As a high-growth business, you may contribute to other projects as the need arises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in marketing, communication, business or a related field.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in events and field marketing with localized campaign execution.

  • Previous experience in field marketing to large enterprise prospects, ideally B2B SaaS offerings.  Experience with procurement-, sustainability- or compliance-related solutions a significant plus.

  • A self-starter and independent, while exceling at cross-functional collaboration and alignment.

  • Experience building teams and processes “ground up”, and managing a small team.

  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM (Salesforce and Pardot), social media platforms, and mastery of standard office tools (MS and Google Office).

  • Solid experience working on marquee corporate events as well as industry conferences, roadshows, workshops and more.

  • Excellent organization skills, comfortable with managing detailed processes across multiple concurrent events.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong negotiating skills.

  • Have a discipline of data-driven marketing, monitoring KPIs and measuring ROI.

  • Comfortable running multiple projects from brief level through to completion.

  • Fluent English and either French or German (additional European languages a plus).
