Surgical Services Staff Educator - Main Operating Room / Outpatient Surgery / Sterile Processing

BOUNTY DESCRIPTION
* Provides formal and informal educational programs for the Main OR staff,
* Outpatient Surgery Center staff, and Sterile Processing staff
* Collaborates with all Educators to deliver consistent hospital wide education
* Collaborates with education team to develop annual education plan
* Plans, directs, and monitors orientation of new staff members as well as the educational program for students participating in precepting activities or job shadowing
* Assists and participates in the continuous development and improvement for new nurse orientation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of California or in process of obtaining CA RN license
* Minimum 5 years of recent acute care hospital operating room clinical and teaching experience
* Must have experience with formal and informal teaching of adult learners
* Must have BSN or currently enrolled in formal BSN program
* CNOR certification required within 12 months of hire

PREFERENCES
* MSN or MSN with a specialization in nursing education strongly preferred
* Current membership in AORN

5+ to 7 years experience

Ideal candidate will have a CA license however, we will consider a candidate in process of obtaining a CA license. Also, ideal candidate will have experience as an operating room nurse and has experience as a staff educator.
