RN CATH LAB SUPERVISOR

Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the functions and activities of the Vascular Imaging services considering to factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in planning and delivering patient care. Renders professional nursing care to patients in the CathLab, in support of medical care directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect nursing care. Performs a variety of duties involving patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This includes patient monitoring, evaluation of lab work and continuous monitoring of vital signs. Directs age specific nursing activities during emergency situations. Plans and directs unit inservices and training of staff.
Assists the Director of ICU and VIS by full participation in meetings and special committees, as well as enforcing hospital and administrative policies.

Qualifications:
Graduate of state approved school of nursing. Bachelors Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university is preferred. -2 years of Acute care hospital experience required. Cath Lab experience strongly preferred. At least 1 year of supervisor experience required.
