Must be proficient in blood bank. Provides reliable test results that aid the physician in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients. Medical Technology requires professional application of the principles, theories and techniques essential for providing reliable test results, which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. A Medical Technologist is required to perform a variety of laboratory tests, many of, which are complex, involving numerous steps and techniques. Demonstration of the capability to employ independent, competent professional judgment is imperative.

Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited college or university and (MT) ASCP,(CLS) NCA or equivalent certification. Meets the qualifications determined under HCFA’s CLIA standards. Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
