CLINICAL ONCOLOGY SERVICE MANAGER 

The Oncology Services Manager (OSM) provides clinical leadership and is responsible for Cancer Center day to day operations in Medical and Radiation Oncology, Clinical Research and supporting services. The Oncology Services Manager fulfills multiple roles such as daily oversight of all clinical activities, patient advocacy, clinical expertise, regulatory compliance and coordination of resources (human, fiscal, physical plant, etc). (S)He collaborates with the department director to monitor clinical performance and to ensure specialty standards and operations targets are met by the department divisions. The OSM serves as a leader and role model for patient care associates within the organization and outside the organization and assists in managing all staffing concerns, collaborating effectively with labor unions and resolving performance management issues. 


The incumbent routinely interacts with patients/clientele in the following age/development categories: Young Adult (18-36), Middle Adult (37-64), Geriatric (65 and above). 

 

Qualifications

 

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

 Previous supervisory responsibility required 

 Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills and problem solving skills. 

 Strong knowledge of Oncology Services required (both Medical and Radiation) 

 B.S.N. Degree from an accredited program required 


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

 Current Montana RN License required upon hire 

 BLS required upon hire 

 ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire date 

 OCN Certification within 15 months of hire 

 Biotherapy Chemotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire 

 Radiation Certification course within 12 months of hire


5+ to 7 years experience


SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Montana RN License required upon hire 

BLS required upon hire 

ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire date 

OCN Certification within 15 months of hire 

Biotherapy Chemotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire 

Radiation Certification course within 12 months of hire 

B.S.N. Degree from an accredited program required 

5+ years of progressive exp as RN to RN Mgr in highly acute, large hospital setting oncology dept

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Someone who has been in this role before, servicing a highly acute oncology center, with all the below credentials already current and 5+ years of progressive experience:
