Be responsible for the design & development of an ultra fast, massively scalable, highly available game service

Lead a team of engineers to deliver the service design

Implement security best practices and original techniques to keep user data secure and prevent cheating

Work with designers, client engineering, and production teams to achieve gameplay goals and objectives that are supported by the service

Apply and improve server deployment and troubleshooting strategies that maximize uptime

Mentor other developers, review their work, and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications: 

A strong desire to create scalable game servers and services using modern tech for modern mobile games

Deep experience with Cloud services like Amazon Web Services or Google App Engine

Strong working knowledge of mobile live service operation at a large scale

Top-notch programming skills

A respect for skilled hackers and a healthy level of paranoia that drive your security-centric approach

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent knowledge of stable change management practices in a live service environment

Experience with technical leadership

Broad experience with supporting technologies for build tools, static analysis, unit testing frameworks, and scripting

Assets: 

A love for playing games

Background in game development

Linux systems administration and/or scripting experience

Hobby development projects

5+ to 7 years experience
