SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST 

Provides assistance as necessary to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing, anticipating and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies and equipment, maintaining aseptic fields and technique and providing retraction under the direction of the surgeon. Completion of a formal Surgical Technologist training program or an Accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program. Evidence of completion of training and/or Surgical Technologist certification; or evidence of Licensed Practical Nurse licensure. Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) certification preferred. One year prior work experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred
