MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - BLOOD BANK NIGHTS 

Job Description:

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Medical Directors and management staff, provides state of the art laboratory specimen testing, including phlebotomy, from neonates to geriatric patients ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree from an approved college or university and be a graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent. Personnel, who, prior to 2/28/92 have qualified at the Medical Technologist level by achieving a satisfactory grade on a HHS examination and also meets the qualifications for Medical Technologist. Meets required CLIA regulations for Testing Personnel. 

EXPERIENCE: 3 years as MT in advance Blood Bank techniques. 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Certified (registered) or registry-eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency, e.g. ASCP, NCA, HHS, AMT or equivalent.
