Job Description

We are seeking to add additional Master’s prepared, Clinical Nurse Leader for Heart and Vascular in the Division of Nursing - - . The ideal candidate will have five or more years of nursing experience in an acute care setting with experience in Heart, Vascular, Urology, Renal, Neurology as well as experience with Process Excellence. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic leadership team. The Clinical Nurse Leader performs the CNL role through providing horizontal leadership, and is accountable for the management of care and the care environment through knowing the patient, communication and lateral integration of care. The CNL serves as a change agent to translate and integrate evidence into practice; to design and evaluate care and improve outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate that s/he can provide leadership towards our clinical, financial and quality goals while engaging staff and physicians in the process.

This CNL will work collaboratively with other members of the Clinical Service Team including the Clinical Service Directors, Managers, CNS and Professional Development Specialist. Other APNs and Clinical Nurse Leaders provide additional support and integration for advancing practice across the continuum. As a teaching hospital we are associated with Internal Medicine, Surgery and Family Medicine Residency Programs.

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

MSN 

At least 5 years experience 

Heart & Vascular/Urology experience 

Process Excellence Experience

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will be a Masters prepared candidate with at least 5 years experience. Heart and Vascular experience is required, while Renal, Dialysis, and Neurology experience is preferred. We are looking for someone with Process Excellence experience, along with someone who is a team player with good communication skills, multi-disciplinary, and computer skills
