Job Description

 SUMMARY: The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and managing resources for the Hospital. These responsibilities include: budget responsibility; efficient/effective resource utilization; recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years clinical nursing experience in an ICU

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Possession of current Texas State Registration. BLS required-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting/carrying greater than 35 pounds with assistance and be able to push/pull, stoop/bend, kneel, walk, sit, crouch/squat, flex/position/twist, stand, hold, restrain, and reach.
