Job Description

 

Total experience with increasing responsibility – 8+ yrs.

Software and/or business process design – 8+ yrs.

Project/team lead experience – 4+ years

Formal implementation/SDLC experience – 4+ years

Facilitation of Cross-functional Solution Design – 4+ years

Detailed understanding of at least one enterprise process / system end to end, including financial impacts

Leadership role on at least one large implementation. Demonstrated organizational influence, interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and documentation skills

Strong understanding on key technologies in IT such as SOA, Middleware (TIBCO preferred), J2EE, Web applications, Database, Security, Commerce technology, Web UI and mobile UI technologies (for retail a plus) etc. 

Process modeling experience (ESPI only). Six Sigma and LEAN experience a PLUS (ESPI only). Project management or PMI certification a PLUS (ESPI only). Business function experiences a PLUS (ESPI only). Accounting acumen a PLUS (ESPI only). Understanding of Sarbanes/Oxley, systems/process controls or Internal Audit experience a PLUS (ESPI only)


Education

Essential Functions

 

PROJECT DELIVERY & METHODS - Use expert knowledge of processes and systems to: Support project Intake feasibility assessment with estimates of Impact (Effort and Timeline). High level scope analysis and solution design. Facilitate future state business process design workshop to elaborate the business capabilities needed, and generate creative thinking that is not yet overly system constrained. Gain business agreement on future state targets. Plan and facilitate solution design workshops, ensuring cross-functional business and technical collaboration, and invitation of diverse perspectives. Direct and review solution design. Promote adoption of standard business process and system capabilities to reduce complexity and cost. Drive creation of business KPI’s to ensure achievement of business value. Identify risks, assists in issue resolution and develop solution options/ proposals. Escalate issues appropriately. Assist team in identifying business readiness and change management considerations for projects of LARGE or COMPLEX impact to T-Mobile systems across multiple domains. Able to quickly learn, lead others and facilitate in unfamiliar domains. Completely self-directed and self-motivated.


CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT: Proactively identify opportunities for improving enterprise processes end to end, work with business leaders to prioritize business opportunity .Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify new business capabilities needed to support business vision, and explore and prioritize solution options. Work with business to identify KPI’s to measure improved processes and systems, and new capabilities Research and deliver solution options using current and future system capabilities, “best practice,” and successful alternatives used at leading/comparable companies Organize vendor demos of current or future functionality, targeted to T-Mobile capability requirements Articulate options, their pros and cons, their impact on current processes and systems, and recommend solution for customer Scope: Enterprise processes end-to-end Results: Lead development of Functional Roadmaps across Enterprise Process

TEAM DEVELOPMENT Review analyst and senior analyst priorities, work plans and deliverables, to ensure quality, consistency and timeliness. Mentor analysts, senior analysts and across teams in enterprise solution design, SDLC, facilitation, and effective customer interaction. Research, ideate, develop and promote adherence to improved team and cross functional processes, standards, tools and methods, to reduce project cost and risk, increase quality and value, and wisely manage scarce resources. Devise strategies to perform effective knowledge transfer for self and analysts to team, partners and customers

RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATION: Anticipate and champion needed communication to team, key customers and partners. Escalate issues timely, objectively and with sensitivity to team dynamics. Demonstrate concise verbal and written communication that is targeted and appropriate to the needs of the audience. Demonstrate active listening skills. Engage cross-functional peers and leaders to ensure full collaboration, multiple viewpoints and full transparency. Develop relationships and influence across enterprise up to director level to gain avenues for solution research, resulting in improved solutions. Collaborate with internal strategic partners to create aligned vision of roadmaps, toolsets and other shared planning
