Job Description

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill pediatric patient.

The RN in the PICU will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.

The RN in the PICU will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.

 The RN in PICU will participate in PICU initiatives and process improvement.

The RN in the PICU will maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.

The RN in the PICU will support the mission, vision and values of the organization

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing

Current license by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of Texas. 

BLS for the healthcare provider required upon hire.

Pediatric Intensive Care Nurses - PALS will be preferred upon hire but must be obtained within 6 months. 

CCRN preferred.
