Job Description

The Staff Physical Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and is responsible for supporting the mission of the Hospital by providing quality physical therapy services to patients of all ages who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. The physical therapist interacts and practices in collaboration with a variety of professionals involved in the care of the patient. The physical therapist educates, engages in critical inquiry, directs and supervises physical therapy services including support personnel. Physical therapy services include examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention of the patient in order to reduce disability. The physical therapist also provides prevention and wellness services.


Requirements:


Must have a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy educational program. Licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Health care provider CPR license.


Preferences:


Masters or doctorate degree preferred.



The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a licensed PT in the state of California. We would prefer that he/she has worked in an acute care setting, but that is not required. New grads are welcome.


This therapist would be placed in our Outpatient clinic in Marina, CA. The schedule is as follows: M-F 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. In addition, all outpatient therapist are required to work one Saturday (or Sunday) a month in the Hospital.
