 Job Description

 

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the ED Manager is responsible for the organization and administration of the Emergency Department nursing services and coordinates all systems related to acute stroke care delivery. Designs, develops, and implements Stroke Program which results in a Certified Stroke Center. Develops clinical service and enhances research in the clinical setting.  Monitors quality of care issues, cost of care and pathways for stroke care management including patient education.  Works in collaboration with the Medical Director of Emergency Services to assure quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.

 

 

 

MSN degree;

 

 

 

Current licensure as a professional nurse in the State of Illinois, Certified Neuroscience RN highly preferred.

 

 

 

Current ACLS and CPR Certifications.

 

 

 

5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience and education; 3 to 5 years of prior experience previous managerial experience.

 

 

 

Working knowledge of public relations and personnel administration.

 

 

 

Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement system.
