Job Description

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Administrative Director of Periioperative Services the Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and managing resources for an OR with 9 suites, 1 Cysto and one GI Lab. Responsibilities include: budget responsibility; efficient/effective resource utilization; recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment.

Specialties include Neurosurgery, Orthopedic total joints, General Surgery, Laparoscopy, Cardiovascular, Peripheral Vascular, ENT/Head and Neck.

The OR has two da Vinci Robotic Units

The position is located at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital. The hospital has Joint replacement gold seal of approval and a strong Neuro program with Stroke certification

Desired Skills and Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.

EXPERIENCE: Five years nursing experience in the OR.  2 years managerial experience in the OR
