Job Description

We are looking for a Senior .Net Web Developer to join our IT Web Marketing & Services Team. The Web team is responsible for support and development of multiple key websites, our corporate intranet as well as multiple secured sites that provide service to thousands of credit unions. For 2015 we have numerous large projects that are integral to the growth and success of the company. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to make a big impact in a growing department. This position will be a senior member of the team responsible for the definition and hands-on development of web based solutions using primarily Microsoft technologies including Microsoft .NET / C#, SQL Server, HTML/JavaScript, and others. You will also participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, including software design, quality assurance, and deployment. This position requires strong communication skills and solution focus, and will involve a high level of collaboration with other team members, as well as internal customers. Job Responsibilities: 30% 1. Independently perform expert-level analysis and design in translating business requirements into technical specifications, present options, evaluate and recommend solutions. Drive out unperceived business needs, leverage existing solutions ( Mutual, publicly available, vendor packages, etc.) where appropriate. Identify and communicate the global impact of interrelated activities. Develop and oversee the implementation of approved project plans and activities. Track overall project progress and report status and any issues to management and project team members. Proactively identify, communicate and drive process, system and business improvement ideas to IT or business. 30% 2. Direct the development of multiple concurrent business systems solutions from conceptualization through stabilization using various computer platforms. Provide leadership, architectural guidance and training to professional staff in project management, planning, estimating, reporting, scheduling, quality assurance and workflow direction on projects of any size. Provide constructive feedback to individual team members and their respective manager regarding performance on projects and support work. 10% 3. Develop, test, implement, document and maintain high quality business systems solutions on various computer platforms, adhering to established methodology and practices, and in accordance with project plans. 10% 4 Develop and maintain a high degree of client-specific knowledge and associated business systems knowledge commensurate with work experience. Educate others, collaborate and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, team members, IT Infrastructure and clients to influence solution delivery, applications architecture and business direction. 10% 5. Continually enhance and share knowledge in application development best practices, technologies, methodologies, and standards. Acquire, effectively apply and train others in new technical skills as driven by business need and/or technology advancements. Develop and maintain an expert-level understanding of industry trends and proactively work as appropriate with decision-makers to drive change within and across IT organizational units. 10% 6. Promptly and professionally assume ownership and respond to customer requests. Perform and direct others in root cause analysis, impact analysis, problem determination and problem resolution support. Collaborate with appropriate business and IT staff throughout the problem resolution process. 7. Job Requirements: 1. BS in MIS or CS or equiv trade-off in related education and related professional work experience. 2. 6 1/2 years work experience in IT with the most recent 36 months work experience as a Business System Consultant or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience within the last 3 years with demonstrated achievement and progressive responsibilities. 3. High level of proficiency demonstrated in a business environment with the last 3 years in at least 4 of the following: Application development life cycle Object Oriented development Current Microsoft Development environment Web Services Development Problem Resolution IT Support of Vendor Package within CMG architecture 4. Demonstrated expert knowledge of application development concepts in a multi-platform computing environment, including application development life cycle, n-tier development, object oriented design, etc. 5. Demonstrated breadth of knowledge of information technology concepts and deep expertise in application development in at least one business system area, including business application, information and/or technical architecture design experience. 6. Demonstrated good judgment and reliability. 7. Demonstrated expertise in architecture design with the ability to teach others. 8. Drives and/or influences departmental or overall technology practices. 9. Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate business and technical information, both verbally and in writing. 10. Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service.

Job Specific Requirements 11. 3+ years’ experience working with: C#, .NET, AJAX, Javascript (jQuery), JSON, HTML/XHTML/DOM/CSS/XML/XSL and MS SQL 12. Fundamental knowledge of Search Engine Optimization. 13. UI Design Principles. 14. Superior Web domain knowledge 15. Additional skills preferences include: • MVC • Experience doing iterative development or using Agile methodologies • Experience in optimizing websites for mobile devices • HTML5, CSS3 • Experience with Web Content Management Systems (Sitecore, Ektron, etc.) • Responsive frameworks (Zurb Foundation, Twitter bootstrap) , retirement and investment products provide financial security and protection to credit unions and their members worldwide.
