Our Company has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Shift Utilities Supervisor at it's pork processing plant in Beardstown, IL. This position is responsible for the day to day operation of the plant's ammonia refrigeration system, boilers and associated equipment, potable water system, operation of the carcass coolers and snap chill system, compressed air system, and plant sanitizing water system. The successful candidate will supervise 12 hourly operators, providing onsite presence 24 hrs/day 365 days/year. This position is a key member of the Hazmat team and must be trained as an Incident Commander. This position is responsible for leading the 2nd Shift Utilities team members and responsible for overall plant maintenance including: scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, employee supervision, training and development. This position is also responsible for managing capital projects and supervision of contractors.
Principal Accountabilities:
Maintenance Leadership (40%)
• Provide leadership for plant mechanical, electrical and contract technicians including predictive, preventative and reactive maintenance
Plant Maintenance (30%)
• Assist in maintenance and repairs of plant equipment

Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 5 year’s manufacturing maintenance work experience
• Occasional travel (10%)
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Bilingual skills
• Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated work experience in industrial maintenance
• Experience with one or more predictive technologies (Ultrasound, Infrared Thermography, Vibration, MCE, Oil Analysis)
• 2 years previous maintenance frontline leadership experience
• Advanced safety knowledge to include permit procedures, hazardous chemicals, and process safety management
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS software
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
• Knowledge of continuous improvement programs
