CPA firm seeks an Audit Manager with 6 to 8 years of experience in public accounting.  This individual reports directly to the firm’s Managing Partner.

This is a leadership role that is responsible for supervising, directing audit teams, and reviewing the audit results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of an audit engagement. Responsibility includes presentation of audit reports and findings to client’s governing body. 

Provide training to audit staff – training sessions & on-the-job training.  The individual we are seeking should be dedicated to the future of the firm and take a leadership role in growing the audit practice.  This position requires a person that will be a long term value to the firm.    

Travel:

Overnight travel is minimal.

Requirements:

CPA designation required.

Permits to practice in Missouri and Kansas (or qualified to obtain)

At least 6 years public accounting experience

Working knowledge of Professional Standards

Sound GAAP and GAAS knowledge

Familiarity with GASB reporting

Single Audit experience

Previous experience with audits of not-for-profit and governmental entities a plus.

Experience working in a paperless environment a plus.

Excellent computer skills
