Job Description
We're looking for a dedicated and organized Assistant Manager to join our team in Brookhaven, United States. In this role, you will support our management team in driving operational excellence and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting both team members and customers. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations while contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
- Support the Manager in overseeing daily operations and implementing company policies and procedures
- Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance, feedback, and performance coaching to foster professional development
- Manage staff scheduling, time-off requests, and ensure adequate coverage to meet operational needs
- Monitor team performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly and effectively
- Assist in training new team members during onboarding and ensure they understand company standards and expectations
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on operational activities, sales performance, and team metrics
- Coordinate communication between departments and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local labor laws
- Contribute to inventory management, stock rotation, and loss prevention initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and team engagement
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory, assistant manager, or management role
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer service excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
- Ability to analyze performance data and generate actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Preferred: Experience in conflict resolution and budget management
- Preferred: Background in retail, hospitality, food service, or operations management
