Job Description

Our Engineering team is working on some of the busiest websites in the world and we are on a journey from being output to outcome based. This is not an easy process, and we are looking to bring experienced Engineering Leads on board to help us on this journey. 

We think we could be a good match if 

  • You are interested in building high performing, high trust teams where feedback and culture are not just the “writing on the wall” 
  • You have experience in working with both legacy and new systems 
  • You have been hands on for quite a while in your career so you can influence technical decisions 
  • You are good in talking to not just Engineers but members of other functions as well 
  • You managed at least 5 – 10 people for a longer period not just as a tech lead but as a fully-fledged people manager as well 
  • You understand boundaries and you can make the best lemonade if life only gives you lemons 
  • You don’t like leaving broken windows behind 

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in PHP, not just in frameworks but in “vanilla” PHP as well so you can guide technical conversations. 
  • Extensive knowledge in Vanilla JS and / or React as our front end stack has to perform really well too. 
  • Experience with high-availability, high – performance and scalable systems so you can help us build systems that really scale. 
  • Real experience in testing what you build. 
  • Real experience with databases (both relational and non – relational)
