Job Description
WHAT'S THE JOB?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Services, the mobile technician role plays a vital part in keeping technology based infrastructure running and secure.
This is a field based role on a rotation based schedule, actioning items that require a hands on presence locally, and preforming preventative maintenance as required to ensure systems remain optimized. Travel is required for this position. This role is safety sensitive, Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing is required.
Service, repair and install network and Internet systems
- Local management of Network switches, access points, security appliances and aggregation equipment.
- Replace or maintenance systems as required.
- Ensure high level or standards, cable clean up, performance optimization.
- Maintain exterior systems such as satellites, antenna, or P2P radios
Service, repair and install TV systems
- Service and install Pico and Holland style head-end systems
- Service and install Analog and digital cable systems in the remote lodge environments
- Install physical television sets and monitors including brackets and cable pulls.
Service, repair and install Survallance and security systems
- Repair and replace cameras and NVR equipment as required
- Install camera and security systems, including alarms, sensors, and support hardware.
- Complete backups and firmware updates locally.
- Service and repair access control systems, and AI based platforms, guest door lock systems, etc.
Provide Local IT and technical support for all technology-based systems
- Support remote support teams with repair and changes on site
- Work with users to improve comfort and education
- Repair and support computers, phones, printers and scanners, and any other technology based system.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Highschool diploma
- Higher technology-based education at a collage, university, or polytechnic level.
- 1 or more Certifications in Cisco, Ubiquity, Fortinet or equivalent
- First-aid, confined space, working at heights, CSTS, AWP and WHIMIS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technician role
