About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner to join our team, focusing on the management and development of our Billing Systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Billing Support/Squad, ensuring alignment and effective management of user stories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the prioritization and development of user stories for sprint planning.
• Maintain and refine the product backlog, creating user stories based on business epics from stakeholders
• Act as a consultant to business stakeholders in formulating their Epics, defining the needs (WHAT) and collaborating with the development team to determine the implementation approach (HOW)
• Ensure high quality of deliverables and continuously seek opportunities for improvement using inspect and adapt methods.
• Serve as a technical translator between business units and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Oversee the ongoing development of the billing system, which includes managing complex rule sets
• Build and maintain knowledge around legal, tax, regulatory, and business requirements relevant to billing and invoicing

Requirements:

• Has worked in previous positions as PO already (3 years, ideally)
• Knowledge of agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and familiarity with DevOps practices
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
• German language skills in order to understand the tax, law and regulatory requirements during refinements
• Proven ability to work closely with product managers and various stakeholders to understand new feature requirements and their implications
• Willingness to continuously learn about legal and regulatory requirements as well as the business needs specific to this area
• Knowledge around finance and billing/invoicing processes as well as in accounting
