Job Description

If you join us, you will be part of a team of Full Stack Web Engineers responsible for developing and supporting Merkury, our flagship, enterprise-class digital marketing platform. Our team uses Agile methodologies to provide solutions across the full application stack including UI components, an Express.js backend, and a MySQL/Express.js fueled REST API that exposes main business information to both our application and to other internal teams. You will bring a knowledge of the technologies used in one or more layers of our stack (frontend, backend, or data layer) and the ability to work and research. During the course of a typical sprint, you will contribute three to five points of velocity as you complete tickets and help the team deliver the work we have agreed upon with our partners. You will enjoy a challenging and fulfilling environment where you will have ample opportunity to increase your skills across all layers of the Web Engineering application stack.

This is a remote position reporting to Manager of Web Engineering.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional training or experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Engineering or development background
  • Passion to code
  • A desire to be challenged and stay on top of the latest technologies and frameworks
  • Proficient in object-oriented and functional programming principles
  • Comfortable in an Agile and test-driven development environment
  • Experience building web applications with React/Redux, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
  • Understand code reusability, security and performance concerns
  • Comfortable working in macOS and Linux cloud-based environments, and with command-line tools
  • Familiar with cloud environments

Desired Skills

  • 1+ years’ experience using some or all of the following technologies to build and test full stack web applications and RESTful API’s with an emphasis on Node.js, React/Redux, and Express.js proficiency:

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
