Job Description

The role of the Group Director, Integrated Media is to provide media leadership/oversight on 1 umbrella company inclusive of 3 brand relationships. The individual in this role is responsible for providing strategic direction and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of their client’s business as well as the overall technology/competitive landscape.

The GD cultivates client and media relationships specifically at mid to senior levels. You will be a media consultant to the client and is charged with all general management aspects of the team, including team collaboration, team harmony, big-picture and strategic thinking.

You understand communications planning, media strategy, brand building, and can speak to both traditional and digital with great comfort, expertise, and ease.

You will report to our VP, Client Solutions and Planning.

Client-Specific Details: This account is performance media heavy with a focus on Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic media buying. You will lead our our teams internally and build client relationships across all media disciplines, as well as lead annual planning from start to finish and ad hoc planning requests.

Key Responsibilities

Media Planning and Execution

  • You have experience building localized/DMA targeted media strategies

You will:

  • Interpret research and provide insight that translates brand marketing goals into succinct media strategies
  • Research and implement new techniques and technologies that are relevant for clients' traditional and digital media strategies
  • Oversee the analysis of performance / testing and dialogue with client and internal team
  • Identify all up-sell opportunities with existing clients, including ability to sell agency offerings and think ahead to future year opportunities
  • Create and set negotiation strategies for yearly client contracts and supplemental proposals and manage account profitability together with leadership

Client & Internal Relationships

  • Represent our customer's point of view when reviewing work, use this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client
  • Represent Agency within industry (attending industry functions, joining local market committees)

Client Leadership

  • Demonstrate knowledge of client brands, brands equity, consumer definition and motivations with the ability to view strategic goals in a broader business context
  • Keep current with industry trends, media business and tools – buying systems, research, resources and associations
  • Coordinate with leadership to guide consistency or clarity across Integrated Media organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of media planning experience, including client management experience
    • Must be fluent in communications planning
  • Minimum 10 years experience working with media, business analytics methodologies, partners and frameworks
  • Experience with localized/DMA targeted media strategies
  • Experience with franchise model businesses
  • Project and process management experience
  • Experience translating business problems into applicable media and non-media solutions for digital capability
  • Paid Search / Shopping, Programmatic, Paid Social, mobile and media technology solutions
  • Understanding of traditional media, inclusive of broadcast, OOH, etc.,
    • Inclusive of working knowledge of performance media principles
  • Knowledge of media, business analytics methodologies, partners and frameworks

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $136,000 - $219,650 / year

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
