Job Description
As the Lead Analyst, Digital Analytics, you will answer important questions around conversation rate improvements, analyzing petabyte scale click stream and sales order data using tools SQL (Google BigQuery), Tableau, Python and Adobe Analytics for a top tier global organization. You will work with client leaders to understand their business problems and consult on data-driven solutions. Experience with how Adobe Data Collection events, e-vars and info impact analytics and understanding of customer journey will be important to be effective at this role.
This will also involve building complex data pipelines to process very large datasets across hundreds of features and deliver self-serve reporting capabilities using Tableau and insights and data stories in PowerPoint. You will consult on using automation and data science to grow proactive identification of anomalies in data and analytics.
Typical problem statements involve (a mix of) measuring impact of interventions on site and app experience across search browse and conversational journeys and developing intuitive data stories to form hypothesis on around improvements in experiences on the eCommerce website, app and/or improvements in data collection and data engineering strategies.
You will manage projects and track them end to end with regular proactive interaction with senior client stakeholders, use forums such as Slack and teams to enhance understanding of the data, data processes and analytical approach to accelerate the journey from questions to answers.
To crush this role, you will need technical knowledge to obtain data-driven solutions, and consulting experience to perform problem inquiry and summarize analytical outcomes, to present insights to senior leaders driving actionability and influence.
This is a remote position reporting to Modeling and Data Science Manager.
Responsibilities:
- You will attend daily standups to understand work priorities, prove updates and call out blockers and next steps
- You will take open-ended questions and break them down into series of questions/hypothesis systematically to form a perspective of the answer, test them through data wrangling and data discovery and analysis
- You will present findings with data and evidence to back the findings
- You will code pipelines, testing and auditing frameworks using Python & SQL, that follow industry best practices in Python & SQL
- You will research and build new algorithms making appropriate use of baseline, ensemble, and deep learning techniques
- You will work with clients to discuss and understand their needs; work with clients to achieve growth and excellence by helping them implement data-driven solutions
- You will oversee the implementation of data science solutions and lead automation of commonly occurring requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in computer science (preferred) or any other engineering
- 4+ years of experience across software development, analytics and consulting services
- High proficiency in complex querying, joining, and manipulating raw datasets for analysis using SQL
- Experience building Tableau dashboards
- Comfortable with hands-on Python coding for analytics (applying packages such pandas, numpy) and understanding of exploratory data analytics and fundamental statistics.
- Knowledge of statistics fundamentals like central tendency, sampling and hypothesis testing
- Interpret hypothesis testing results and investigate unexpected outcomes to identify root causes
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000 - $126,500. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
