Job Description

The Manager of Finance & Operations ensures the AOR is operating at peak efficiency following approved procedures. This is a leadership role, overseeing staff in Finance (hard line) will report directly to the Associate Director, Finance Operations. Also, you will work with the VP, Head of Investments to inspire a responsible way of working across the AOR team and overseeing optimized workflows / assignments. The Manager of Financial Operations also owns reporting processes, ensuring partners are updated with relevant information .

Responsibilities include:

Financial & Corporate Accounting:

  • Manage the monthly financial process and will work with Agency internal team (planning, activation, and billing team) and the client.
  • Discuss reporting, questions related to billing, resolve variances in billed vs. planned, and close out quarterly PO's 90 days after MOS
  • Keep track of active BCA/authorizations
  • Compare billing against approved spend
  • Ensure discrepancies are resolved within 90 days after MOS
  • Provide, accurate and meaningful information and reports to AOR Leadership Team and to client
  • Develop group operations systems and controls and procedures
  • Help with internal and external audits

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients and the AOR Leadership Team
  • Stay on top of business and client/agency concerns to head off issues early
  • Invest time to investigate opportunities to provide better analysis support
  • Ensure collaboration among all groups; foster great teamwork
  • Provide appropriate management updates and solicit feedback and direction.

Leadership:

  • Ensure important information is provided to team regarding client/internal agency issues, changes in account status.
  • Keep current with industry trends, tools – systems, research, resources and associations
  • Respond when presented with issues
  • Seek lasting solutions rather than quick fixes
  • Ensure appropriate Finance/Accounting staff use
  • Provide guidance to team members and nurture/promote team environment
  • Train and motivate assigned staff
  • Construct and deliver accurate, honest performance management documents

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in An agency Media Operations – managing procedures
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of auditing principles and practices
  • Demonstrate and use systems
  • Demonstrate and exhibit solid business instincts
  • High-level, experience with Excel (can write advanced macros)

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
