Job Description
Merkury, Dentsu's global identity and data platform and a pioneer in the industry as the first patented person-based identity and data platforms for addressable media is looking for a VP Product Solutions, Media in US to help continue to increase revenue and market growth for our business. You will work in collaboration with our Growth and Client Service leaders across dentsu Media agencies to lead and integrate the Merkury Media people-based platform into new business opportunities across Carat, iProspect and dentsuX.
You will manage media RFP opportunities as a key member of the agency pitch team, and proactive new business opportunities across agency accounts and prospects. Responsibilities include understanding current client media planning and buying approaches, business goals, KPIs, and partners specific to identity and data-driven audience strategy and development, how clients are using their 1st-party customer and 3rd-party data sources, ad-tech and measurement platforms currently, and what's possible to improve and lead in the industry with person-based, addressable strategies enabled by the Merkury Media platform.
You will be the subject matter expert, able to organize, craft and present Merkury Media product presentations in internal meetings and pitch situations that illustrate how Merkury Media enables dentsu Media's unique insights, planning, buying and measurement process based on Merkury IDs, data, and connections across proprietary planning and buying platforms and the most open and interoperable connections to leading ad-tech and media partners.
Additional responsibilities include collaboration with clients and Merkury product team members, analytics staff and dentsu Media team members to assess client needs during the pitch process, develop and present high impact product demos, manage the process of ingesting and matching client 1st-party customer data and using Merkury's wealth of consumer data to develop and illustrate target audiences and strategies for addressable and person-informed media. You will collaborate on wider opportunities working with Merkury Enterprise Solution leads for identity and data products for client databases, mar-tech, CRM and experience.
You will support Merkury product, pitch and agency leads to develop appropriate Merkury Media platform fees and support staffing plans and ensure that contracts and any required data privacy and regulatory standards are managed.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced platform sales, client service or solutions team member to be at the forefront of innovation in the growing media identity and data platform industry. This is a remote position reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, Merkury and partner and collaborate with our Merkury and dentsu Media team members. You will not have any managerial responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, analytics
- 8+ years of experience in an ad-tech or agency audience/data platform sales, client service or solutions role.
- Experience summarizing client opportunities in media and translating into the creation of presentations.
- Experience with identity and data companies and solutions for media audiences, insights, planning and targeting, and measurement.
- Experience working with DMPs, DSPs, data onboarders or data companies as part of sales, partnership or client efforts.
- Experience collaborating with sales leaders to ensure important information, stage, sizing of potential deals is reported.
- Expertise in pitch situations representing identity/audience data platforms or strategies in media (cookieless, identity, data for targeting)
- Experience collaborating with business and sales leads to develop product or solution pricing and contracts, collaboration on negations with clients
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $163,000 - $263,350. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
