Job Description

As an Account Executive on the Experience & Commerce Client Services Account team, you will be an integral part of the account group by supporting numerous client relationships. Reporting to the Account Manager, this partially client-facing role will become a trusted partner to both internal Merkle and external client teams. Dependent on each unique client’s business needs, the Account Executive will support client initiative and account management goals by collaborating with both client stakeholders, and internal project managers, senior leadership, and channel leads across the Merkle/dentsu organization.

By ensuring marketing and support activities are executed in a timely and efficient manner, the Account Executive will directly impact the success of our clients as well as Merkle.

As the Account Executive, you will:

  • Be the day-to-day resource for clients on projects, responding to internal and external general inquiries & requests and building a solid rapport with appropriate clients
  • Work with the existing account team on executing administrative tasks for various client accounts, including resource management and contract scoping, pricing, and other exercises
  • Support account needs regarding scheduling, routing work activity through internal and external channels, overseeing creative asset development, attending status meetings, and exhibiting overall account knowledge and process
  • Ensure successful marketing campaigns from start to finish by overseeing delivery and project teams  
  • Responsible for timely and exemplary delivery of contractual deliverables
  • Maintain understanding of contractual limits and obligations to define new and current project goals, scope, and deliverables to internal and external teams
  • Demonstrate growing understating and implementation of internal processes
  • Partner with clients for strategic and executional needs
  • Resolve business/client challenges through mature leadership; escalating client difficulties appropriately to both internal Account and external client representatives
  • Consistently manage projects and assignments independently and proactively and creatively resolve roadblocks along the way
  • Accomplish tasks thoughtfully and work collaboratively towards common goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • Preferably 2+ years account management experience
  • Preferably 1+ years creative agency experience
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A strategic mindset, with a desire to learn and grow
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong writing skills; effectively writes clear, concise, internal and client communications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic financial understanding of P&L, invoicing, margin maintenance, and budget management
  • Committed to personal growth; continually seeks opportunities for skill development and professional advancement through self-guided learning and process optimizations

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
