Job Description
This is a Remote role; Candidates must be located in Central or Eastern Time Zone.
As the Associate Director, planning reporting to the Senior Director, planning you will set the working style for the group, lead the strategic direction, and be a marketing partner for your clients. You will be an expert on the clients' business and a leader on the business with the clients and within the agency.
- Accountable for media plan output, accuracy, and overall excellence
- Play necessary role facilitating with the Integrated Planning Director and Strategy Director in the collection and evaluation of syndicated consumer and media usage information and play a contributing role in the creation of the communications plans
- Be the comprehensive specialist in existing and latest media opportunities (awareness of available media and marketing services suppliers) that would be relevant to the assigned brand/category and ensure that opportunities within them are presented and communicated to iProspect and client teams.
- Fluent in main implementation and valuation techniques and sources: reach curve updates, MediaTools, windows of change, schedules, actualizations, econometric and brand measurement tools (MMM, METT, Equity Scan)
- Oversee the reporting of competitive market/media information for each brand/category, including business insights that can inform media and broader marketing actions; enlist help from CPD and issue jointly
- Be the facilitating contact point for client's internal media staff and the primary contact point to client's brand staff when media issues are discussed
- Lead the process of strategic media planning and serve as a resource for supervisors, planners and assistants for advice and counsel
- May support the creation and negotiation of yearly client contracts and supplemental proposals and manage account profitability
Qualifications
- 4+ years of communications/media planning experience in a large agency or client marketing setting required
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing a team of planners and supervisors required
- 3+ years of experience in upper funnel media, with important channel experience in Linear TV/Upfronts, CTV, OLV, Streaming Radio, and Social required
- 3+ years of experience with Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, Web Analytics, Ad Servers, Media Research tools
- 1+ years of experience working within strict compliance industry required (pharma, financial services, healthcare, tobacco)
- Understanding of planning sponsorship campaigns on a national level
- Experience promoting collaborative relationships with other teams

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($68,000-$110,400). Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
