Senior Associate, National Video Investment

Job Description

We are looking to add a National Video Investment Senior Associate supporting a large CPG brand. You will report into the National Video Investment Associate Director. This hybrid role is based in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, IL.

As the National Video Investment Senior Associate, your primary responsibility is to negotiate cost efficient schedules on behalf of the clients. Supported by the Associate, you will coordinate all aspects of the video investment process.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Video Investment and Execution:

  • Prepare reports for clients on national accounts (Tracking, GRP, Posts)
  • Ensure that DDS and GRP charts reflect most updated brand requirements
  • Communication with networks regarding client's scheduling
  • Ensure that move requests have been requested and are being followed up on daily
  • Organize all upfront information into summary documents (i.e. "Roll-Ups")
  • Analyze upfront plans, execute options and sell-off requests , negotiate scatter buys and prepare scatter buy recommendations
  • Ensure that allocations match flighting/$'s/GRP requirements
  • Prepare Monthly Spending Reports

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Maintain special client related projects (i.e. Marketplace updates)
  • Maintain relationships with network sales executives
  • Assist in managing expectations of clients and their deliverables
  • Collaborate with supervisor to develop and oversee junior staff, manage time, assure projects are completed on time and adhere to budget
  • Stay informed about latest trends in media, programming, and ratings
  • Inform client/team of new opportunities or issues
  • Assist with facilitating client meetings

Strategic Thinking & Leadership:

  • Instruct and develop Associates knowledge of television media, negotiation skills and DDS programs
  • Assist management team (Directors etc.) in develop strategies for media buys
  • Move audience to desired action through clear and persuasive delivery of information
  • Ensure information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of media buying experience, including at least 1 year at the Associate level
  • Exposure to both linear and digital media
  • Media vendor negotiation experience
  • Working knowledge of Prisma & DDS
  • Working knowledge of GRPs, Media Math, and FEP Campaigns
  • Knowledge of media research terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000- 83,375. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
