Life as a Data Solution Architect at Merkle

You can join our growing Data Engineering team at Merkle to focus on delivering solutions to clients. You'll understand modern data platform architecture and designing well-architected technical solutions to deliver to clients’ requirements. You will be a competent team player, developing simple and straightforward solutions that are scalable, utilising appropriate technologies and engineering best practices.

Under the guidance of the Director of Engineering:

• Design great data solutions for our clients
• Work with local leadership and our global teams, bringing their main industry and product expertise, to shape and provide client solutions
• Support Data Scientists and Analytics Consultants working on projects
• Provide technical expertise and consultancy to clients to help them understand the power of big data analytics for their organisation
• You'll work with clients from multiple sectors and understand their specific requirements
• You'll provide technical solutions
• You'll have production level experience in the three major cloud platform providers; AWS, Azure and GCP, or a transferable understanding of at least one

What we are looking for in you

You'll have experience designing projects and supporting on their delivery from start to finish, setting deadlines, collaborating with internal and client-based directors, partners, and other client teams.

• Experience mentoring, and developing engineering teams across multiple disciplines
• Establish Enterprise Models base on their designated area of ownership
• Collaborate in building/implementing Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Tools
• Identify opportunities for simplification and rationalisation of process and technology
• Experience designing production level enterprise solution architecture
• Experience of Spark, Scala or similar technologies
• Proficiency working in an Agile environment
