Senior Associate, Local (Broadcast)

Job Description

The Senior Associate, (Broadcast TV and Radio) Investment is responsible for the end-to-end building and activation of digital audio buys for assigned client(s). You may be based in any of our US office locations or Remote in the US. You will report to the Senior Manager, Local Investment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Media Buying and Execution

  • Build and activate traditional broadcast tv and radio campaigns
  • Research network submissions in our software
  • Evaluate and negotiate vendor submissions
  • Conduct negotiations that meet client KPIs and guidelines
  • Negotiate added value and integrations
  • Monitor delivery and optimize campaigns applicable to account(s)
  • Compile and check post reporting from vendors and deliver to Senior Manager

Client and Internal Relationships

  • Work with Senior Managers and Directors to deliver buys and presentations to both internal colleagues as well as client(s)
  • Assist in maintaining client budgets
  • Partner with management team to develop marketplace CPPs and CPMs
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers to create marketplace updates
  • Work with internal teammates and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies between ordered and billed schedule in Media Ocean in a timely manner
  • Manage email communication with external client vendors answering basic questions about timeline, QA, etc.
  • Recognize potential issues and problems, know when to bring to someone your senior's attention with a proposed solution
  • Work with Senior Managers to create marketplace updates and presentations for final recommendations
  • Stays up to date with market research (industry periodicals, email newsletters, websites)
  • Work closely with internal planning team(s) in developing client strategy
  • Assist with client presentation decks
  • Help train and mentor associates

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in developing local traditional tv and/ or radio Marketing campaigns
  • Involvement in developing RFPs
  • Involvement in working with vendors to come up with rates (and then double checking those rates post- campaign)
  • Experience in Media Ocean (DDS, Spectra OX, etc.) or similar platform
  • Ability to manage email communications including, but not limited to relaying schedules/ timelines, answering questions, and QA with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Ability to negotiate added value and integrations
  • Ability to pull reporting onto Microsoft Excel and develop initial insights to pass along to senior members of the team

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
