Job Description

As the SVP, Merkury Consultant you will report to the Managing Director of M1 and help lead the transformation of dentsu Media’s addressability practice. You will focus on the solutioning of dentsu’s proprietary end-to-end audience addressable media platform, Merkury for Media. You will lead Merkury for Media solutioning through consultative support across dentsu Media US agencies (Carat, dentsu X, and iProspect) and their clients. You will develop important relationships across agency leaders and partners, media partners, and senior clients to close growth opportunities and guide increased adoption of the Merkury platform.

This role will be a critical component in implementing and scaling strategies that deliver measurable client value. In this role, the SVP will be expected to maintain a thorough understanding of dentsu’s addressable products, possess the requisite consulting/selling/advising background to promote adoption, and capable of converting on the organizational desire for integrated, end-to-end delivery. As a role that touches several capabilities within dentsu – product, insights, strategy, planning, investment, analytics, operations, legal, and commercial – an ability to work with multiple partners to create ‘win wins’ for all will be important. You will provide ongoing feedback to senior management on relationship, influence, and adoption goals with important partners.

 

Main Accountabilities:

  • Increase adoption of our full suite of Merkury for Media products focused on audience-based insights, planning, activation, bidding, measurement and optimization.
  • Onboard new clients into the Merkury for Media suite of products and capabilities
  • Train agency teams in addressable planning, buying, measurement and optimization, and collaborate with them to establish operational processes.
  • Develop important relationships across agency leaders and partners, media partners, and senior clients to close growth opportunities and lead increased adoption of the Merkury platform.
  • Seek out revenue and adoption growth opportunities with existing clients
  • Define product / solution / partnership needs to overcome barriers to client adoption.
  • Identify cross-solution pipeline opportunities and areas of collaborative growth potential.
  • Influence and lead addressable budgeting, planning, allocation, activation, performance, and optimization.
  • Build and lead relationships with peers across dentsu Media.
  • Balance direct solutioning and solution delegation within Merkury Consulting, Addressability, and Media
  • Collaborate on (and occasionally participate in) dentsu Media pitch efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years' experience in marketing, media agencies, media sales, consulting, MarTech / AdTech
  • Experience in media strategy, with a passion for knowing people better than anyone else
  • Strong understanding of the identity and data landscape, with an emphasis on addressable media
  • Comfortability and experience working with digital, programmatic, and DMP/CDP platforms
  • Excellent C-suite-level verbal and written communication, presentation, strategic, and analytical skills
  • Dynamic and proactive team player who can prioritize quickly and act effectively
  • Ability to travel as required

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $163,000-$272,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
