Dentsu Sports Analytics is seeking a proactive, curious individual with a mix of sales or business development and analytical experience to join our team as the Senior Manager, Commercial. As a leading sports and entertainment research and data firm, we provide innovative solutions and insights to drive strategic decision-making within the industry. This role will report into and support senior management across a variety of activities which are all collectively geared towards driving revenue and reaching financial targets for the overall business. This will be done through supporting new business development as well as expanding work with our existing client base.

Job Description

  • You will support the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and closing deals – for both existing clients and new prospects.
  • You will support development and execution of a commercial strategy to identify revenue opportunities in the sports and entertainment sponsorship industry.
  • You will create and deliver data-driven insights to inform commercial strategy and sales material for senior management.
  • You will work with and analyze different types of data – market research, consumer, media, and market intelligence data – to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Ability to create compelling insights and data visualizations that tell a story.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to internal teams for product development and improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sports and entertainment research and data.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of proven experience supporting commercial and business development activities with a strong understanding of the overall sales process.
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of the sports and entertainment sponsorship industry, including key players, industry trends, and challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, analytics, or a related field.
  • Highly proficient in reporting and data analysis tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market research to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with prospects, clients, and attend industry events.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
