Job Description
Dentsu X is looking to add a Senior Manager of Planning with solid integrated media expertise to their New York-based team. This is a hybrid role where the team meets on average one time per week in the office. Typically, on Wednesdays. We are team that enjoys collaborating and brainstorming together. We support a global brand that crafts extraordinary adult beverages.
You will help grow one of our large integrated media businesses. Your background has some experience in both traditional and digital media for both Local and National plans. You are an important member of the team and a point person to our clients. You are a crucial contributor in areas of agency development – from training to new business pitches. One of your main goals will to be very hands-on and involved in the day-to-day of this account.
Reporting to the Director of planning you will ensure that communications strategies are translated into plans, and you will lead the implementation of those plans. In partnership with the senior leadership on your team, you will help in setting the strategic tone for the account/within your assigned division. You are expected to have a working knowledge of integrated media landscape both locally and nationally. You will directly manage the planning team – developing their skills, evaluating their performance and managing their growth. In addition to core account assignments, the Senior Manager is expected to take part in larger areas of agency development – aiding with new business pitches, committees, and task forces. You will be a step toward greater leadership within the integrated media group and the agency overall. Managing client relationships is also a necessary component of this role.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of communications/media planning experience in a large agency environment
- 3+ years of experience in traditional marketing and current knowledge of trends and innovations in traditional media
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing / media and current knowledge of trends and innovations in digital media
- 3+ years of experience with Prisma, Media Tools and buying platforms such as DDS, Media Ocean, Spot Toolkit
- 1+ year of advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
- 1+ year of agency team management experience
- 1+ year of full process large budget management experience from end to end
- Working knowledge of Insights tools such as MRI and Simmons and competitive tools like Nielsen Ad Intel and/or Kantar Strategy

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000 - $126,500. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
