Job Description
Dentsu is seeking a Director of Digital Strategy & Connections Planning, this role requires experience in planning across media and creative channels, to develop and manage campaigns that generate measurable ROI. This Director role requires you to be analytical as well as creative in your thought process and provide strategic recommendations to support the growth of client relationships.
The ideal candidate for this hybrid position must have a strong passion for the media and creative space; by problem solving, how brands and customers interact, with an advanced understanding of the rapidly evolving role that data and technology play in this relationship.
The Director of Digital Strategy & Connections Planning must possess strong business acumen, be able to prioritize business requests for their team, and effectively manage complex client demands whilst maintaining operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and teach an already established team of media and creative professionals to deliver on the strategy, tactics and execution of the agency and client roadmaps of success
- Lead the building, development, and delivery of strategic omni-channel marketing plans.
- Understand, Action and deliver with relevant system and tools to help build an integrated digital execution and measurement system with the client team.
- Act as a subject matter expert, particularly in the areas of digital marketing and CRM.
- Leverage your digital expertise to navigate clients’ requirements and objectives to create breakthrough digital experiences across a variety of channels including web, search, social, and video, defying conventions, and creativity.
- Continually monitor current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies – and then translate them into new marketing ideas for clients.
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with key client contacts and executives.
- Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking.
- Collaborate and develop relationships with internal Dentsu teams (account management, strategy, creative, analytics etc.), and partner agencies to understand the feasibility of cross-channel recommendations/ plans.
- Identify key data points and measurements to show the impact of our approach and strategy on the client’s business.
- Be a trusted advisor to our clients, partners, and vendors, developing positive relationships that reflect true partnership in achieving the objectives of the client’s business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years’ experience in media & creative planning across all channels.
- Digital marketing experience – including CRM/ Online media / Offline media / ecosystems.
- Strong presentation and client facing communication skills.
- Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations.
- Attention to detail and the ability to incorporate internal and external feedback on an iterative basis.
- Ability to leverage business experience / acumen to identify new business and marketing opportunities.
- Experience with driving change and ability to think innovatively in developing and executing changes to processes and ways of working.
- Contributes to building a positive collaborative team spirit.
- Highly detail-oriented and can synthesize information from multiple perspectives and sources to make specific recommendations that align consumer and business needs.
- Skilled in audience insights, segmentation, persona targeting and integrating propensity models.
