Job Description

Reporting to the MKTG VP of Activation, you will work across multiple territories with a variety of our Diageo clients and MKTG Producers to bring internal Diageo events such as trade shows, sales meetings/conferences, and social gatherings to life. You will manage the quality of the experiences by sourcing, investment evaluation, sponsorship negotiation, budget creation/management, event staffing, vendor communications, timeline management, asset logistics, and on-site execution.

  • You will activate events according to brand guidelines and ensure execution is consistent with brand standards.
  • You will work with local market Producers to activate Diageo Special Projects in their market, mentoring and teaching those who are not familiar with the size and scale of these events.
  • You will lead on-site production, coordinate event staffing and logistics.
  • You will help manage local storage and inventory of event assets, supplies and POS.
  • You will work with vendors, event organizers and insurance carriers, and procure permits and other paperwork required.
  • You will provide budgetary input and pre/during/post event communications, ensuring any issues or changes are escalated and documented.
  • You will manage the PO system, expense tracking and reporting.
  • You will manage a local team of part-time production assistants, brand ambassadors, specialists, and ensure they are understanding of activation goals and local compliance.
  • You will ensure activation is planned for and performed in compliance with state event regulations, local sampling laws, company policies, and client marketing codes.

Qualifications

  • 7 years minimum experience in event production in an agency or brand side communications environment
  • Knowledge of and experience in the beer and spirits industry
  • Team management, organization, and budget experience
  • Experience managing numerous events and timelines simultaneously and anticipating obstacles
  • Understand that this is not a 9-to-5 job and can accommodate regular work travel to attend and activate events
  • College graduate (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skill sand other factors permitted by law.A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
