Job Description

We are looking for a senior software engineer with a specialization in JavaScript/NodeJS development to help us build and support our platforms and services. You will report to the Promotions Delivery Manager and play an important role in all aspects of Merkle’s Promotion and Loyalty Services software platforms which help grow consumer engagement with some of the world’s biggest brands. You will contribute to our requirements gathering, use case development, technical specification analysis, system design, and software architecture. You will write code, conduct testing, review peer code, and provide support for large development projects.

Must Have Skills:

·       JavaScript

·       Vue.js

·       NodeJS

·       HTML CSS

·       Version Control tools experience

·       Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, NPM

·       REST APIs integration experience

·       SQL, MySQL, Oracle or other database experience

·       Good communication

·       Agile

Good to have Skills: 

·       Experience in automated software testing

·       Experience in cloud technologies (AWS preferred)

·       Java

Key Responsibilities:

•                Problem solve through the careful application of technology and process

•                Write high quality, tested, high-capacity and maintainable software

•                Design modern, reliable and reusable systems

•                Decompose complex problems into manageable tasks

•                Write technical specifications, run-time instructions, training materials and architecture documentation for Merkle P&LS systems

•                Help develop best practices, technology efficiencies, and improve workflow

•                Design data models and write efficient front-end code.

•                Collaborate with the wider Merkle Promotions and Loyalty teams to arrive at sound technical solutions to business problems.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

•                Minimum of 5+ experience in Front End development, with a strong focus on Vue.js

•                Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

•                Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, NPM, etc.

•                Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.

•                Enterprise class web application experience

•                Competent with Version Control tools

•                Experience and comfort working within a dynamic and agile-focused environment

•                Experience in automated software testing, real-time system integration, REST APIs, database programming, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred)

About dentsu

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
