Job Description
One of our dentsuX teams in Chicago / New York is looking to add a Senior Manager, Media Planning to their team. This is a remote opportunity, candidates in Chicago and New York with be a priority.
We are a close-knit team supporting of the nation's largest regional financial services company. As the Senior Manager, Media Planning you will ensure that communications strategies are translated into plans and for leading the implementation of those plans. Reporting to the Director, Media Planning you will partner with the Associate Director, Planning /Director to set the strategic tone for the assigned accounts. You will help create all important plans and presentations. You will also manage a planning team – developing their skills, evaluating their performance and managing their growth.

Additional Description:
- Participate in brand/communication programs
- Work with senior team members to set communications strategies
- Manage preparation, development and stewardship of media plans for specific clients and brands, and accountable for supporting the team and ensuring plans are completed following the agency and client processes and standards
- Develop ability to manage the brand, while briefing the Associate Planning Director or Planning Director on important happenings and issues
- Provide relevant insight and input into all media opportunities (awareness of available media and marketing services vendors)
- Oversee the reporting of competitive market/media information for each brand/category
- Be a facilitating contact point for client’s internal media staff and the primary contact point to client’s brand staff when media issues are discussed
- Develop timelines for all projects
- Be a resource for planners and assistants for advice, counsel and mentorship
- Maintain client relationships at appropriate levels
- Grow business opportunities within current clients
- Lead face-to-face client and vendor meetings
Qualifications
- 3+ years communications/media planning experience in a large agency setting
- 3+ years of all media channels and experience coordinating across multiple media disciplines (SEM, Social, Programmatic, TV, OLV, OOH, Audio, Radio, etc.)
- 3+ years' experience with Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, Web Analytics, Ad Servers, Media Research tools
- 2+ years managing 2 or more direct reports
- 2+ years of managing large Media Budgets and Flowcharts
- 2+ years of building media plans, including media channel selection and strategies

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($78,000 - $126,500). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
