Job Description

MKTG offers a unique and rewarding Trainee Program for college graduates seeking entry to the lifestyle marketing industry. Our Trainee Program ensues for six months, at which point successful Trainees are offered promotions to Coordinator level positions, based on position availability (post Trainee Program employment is not guaranteed). The MKTG Trainee Program has proven to be an ideal way to begin one's career in the lifestyle marketing industry.

 

With hands on experience Trainees in the Creative Department become involved with all aspects of the creative process. Through extensive research, design, and creative ideation, Trainees gain a nuanced and in-depth understanding of the strategy and art direction involved in making brands come to life.

 

The Creative Trainee plays an important support role to the Creative Directors and Art Directors to produce visually arresting, thoughtful, on-brand work for MKTG's client roster across various forms of media.

 

The Creative Trainee is a true team player looking to be immersed in a non-typical work environment and become part of a vibrant culture of people that know how to learn and have FUN. No two days are alike in our office, so being flexible in supporting evolving programs will be key to success in this role.

 

This trainee will report to the Senior Art Director.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Creative Team with the following:

  • Print design
  • Digital design
  • Animation
  • Brainstorming
  • Presentation decks
  • Collaborate with Creative and Content teams on multiple client projects
  • Design: Create print collateral and digital/web layouts and graphics according to different client brand guidelines
  • Participate in brainstorming to create solutions
  • Conduct project-based research
  • Create layouts/graphics for PowerPoint presentations
  • Support team with different projects and administrative tasks
  • Following deadlines and complete projects promptly
  • Researching competitive activity, industry trends, and creative inspiration
  • Deliver visually striking and exciting designs in print and digital applications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or similar field or relevant experience
  • Proficient in Adobe CS: Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Must have working knowledge of: InDesign, After Effects, PowerPoint, Google Docs
  • Must present online portfolio of work that expresses a versatile and design aesthetic
  • This role requires two days on location along with other days as needed. This role will be located in NYC.

Additional Information

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $19.23. Actual hourly pay rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
