UX Strategist/Architect

Job Description

Isobar Public Sector is seeking a UX Strategist/Architect contractor who will be responsible for defining and implementing the navigation and information architecture for a website as well as assisting with measurement strategy with the client. The UX Strategist/Architect will have expertise with writing and developing detailed user research plans and/or measurement strategies. The UX Strategist/Architect will also have experience developing site taxonomies and site navigation structures. This position will also be expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate workshops and produce reports and analyses.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop the website site map, navigation, and site taxonomy that defines clear categories and labels.
  • Use standard tree jacking and IA software to accomplish navigational feedback.
  • Assist in the configuration of reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Assist in defining, analyzing, and development of a post-redesign user research plan/measurement strategy.
  • Present strategy documentation.
  • Collaborate with a team of user researchers and designers.
  • Facilitate workshops, user testing and present work to stakeholders.
     

Who You Are

  • A US Citizen and possess a Security Clearance (or be eligible to obtain one).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information science, human-computer interaction, or a related field is typically required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in content strategy and/or management, library science or information architecture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the 4 main IA system components: organization systems, labeling systems, navigation systems, and searching systems.
  • Experience in developing site maps, taxonomy, and site navigation structures.
  • Experience in conducting card sorting and tree testing activities with stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating user flows.
  • Ability to implement a measurement strategy or a user research plan.
  • Knowledge and experience with UX design methodologies, such as user research, user testing plans, and usability testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate design decisions and present work to stakeholders.
  • A meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to catch and resolve issues before they become problems.
  • A willingness to continuously learn, explore new design trends and technologies, and adapt to changing design needs.

The pay range for this position is $68.00-$73.00 dollars per hour. Pay is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications. The targeted start/end dates for this contract role are July 31st and September 15th.
