Job Description

As the Senior Manager, Email Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty through the delivery of exceptional services. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our digital marketing support functions and providing best practice guidelines. This role requires direct interaction with both internal and external key stakeholders, where you will present and execute strategies for our clients. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of tasks by other team members.

Staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the email marketing landscape and integrating them into dentsu’s offerings to enhance client satisfaction will be a crucial aspect of your role.

Quality assurance is a significant task within this role. You will be responsible for ensuring flawless execution and delivery of campaigns, regardless of their scale and complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution: Independently document, build, test, quality-assure, deliver, and hand over campaigns.
  • Campaign Design: Provide practical advice on campaign lifecycle decisions for colleagues and clients.
  • Governance and Control: Manage and execute deliverables with competence, continuously improving quality assurance and governance processes.
  • Training: Deliver hands-on and virtual training sessions, support workshops, and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Best Practice Consultancy: Stay up to date with industry news, optimization techniques, controls, measurement, DPA and privacy, GDPR.
  • Migration and Implementation Planning: Collaborate with a larger campaign team to prepare materials, campaigns, and other deliverables for migration.
  • Data Design: Act as a campaign data subject matter expert, seeking ways to utilize client data for streamlined and efficient journeys.
  • Campaign Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on campaign performance.

 

In addition, you will work closely with internal teams to support and train in Email Campaign Development. Serve as an expert on email best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and new practices. Provide guidance on best practices to internal and client teams. Participate in business process due diligence and documentation, present to key stakeholders, and contribute to client pitches and business development initiatives.

 

As the Senior Manager, Email Marketing, you will directly manage a team of 15-16 people, providing leadership and guidance to drive team success.

 

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of Klaviyo ESP or similar campaign automation tools, as well as experience with Hubspot, Flowdesk, and email analytics tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to independently manage and execute multiple complex campaigns to the highest standard.
  • Proficiency in understanding data and its implications for campaign success.
  • Knowledge of HTML (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in managing client communications and expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in an agency environment with excellent coordination skills to manage cross-agency project delivery teams, including creative, campaign, and planning experts, to deliver high-performance email services.

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $78,000k-$110,000k. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
