Job Description
One of our New York City based Merkle Teams is looking to add a Media Planning Manager to their team. This is a hybrid role where you will sit onsite 2x a week.
As a Media Planning Manager, you will be a leader overseeing a major account and managing at least one direct report serving as the daily leader on a line of business team. You will ensure that our clients’ needs are met and oversee the media team with campaign planning, optimization strategies, and campaign performance success for a global account.
You will provide consultative strategic direction to the media teams and identify appropriate programs to meet client needs. Furthermore, you will work with internal tools and staff to analyze campaign delivery and optimize performance on an ongoing basis quantitatively and qualitatively. You will attend client meetings, write/present media plans to clients, and identify up-sell opportunities. You will report into a Director of Media.
Responsibilities:
- Manage custom deal partnerships for a global account
- Manage the media teams, serve as a mentor, and provide guidance
- Manage all facets of campaign execution by overseeing account management and media teams
- Manage and review all client-facing deliverables
- Stay up to date with latest trends and identify areas of development within emerging markets
- Oversee campaign planning, optimization strategies, and campaign performance success for a set of top tier client relationships
- Oversee the development of RFPs, the final buy recommendation, buy summaries, and campaign measurements
- Promote positive working relationships within the department, the company, and the vendor community
- Provide consultative strategic direction to your accounts and identifying appropriate programs to meet client needs
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years in digital media campaign management & planning, with an emphasis on managing direct buys, custom deal partnerships and collaborating on biddable media execution in a large agency setting
- Experience with brand and content programs
- Programmatic, paid social (LinkedIn), and paid search channel knowledge
- Experience with MediaOcean and DCM required
- Have experience with research resources such as Kantar, MRI, @Plan, Nielsen/NetRatings, AdRelevance, and other research/planning tools
- Experience in data management and visualization dashboards such as Datorama or Tableau

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
