Data Scientist

The DataSix team works with high-growth, Ecommerce companies that are looking to scale and expand their business through multi-channel marketing investment management with MuteSix. The Data Scientist role will collaborate closely with data science, product, and data analytics teams while supporting enterprise client engagements. This person has strong analytical skills and is eager to get hands-on experience in applying data science concepts to digital marketing business applications.

Job Functions

  • Engineering solutions to fuel product offerings that can be adapted to a repeatable framework for the analytics and media activation teams to utilize
  • Building applied machine learning models for digital marketing campaign optimization, analyzing causal inference, creating budget optimization frameworks, and designing randomized control tests
  • Analyzing large data sets to extract key insights to inform marketing recommendations for optimizations
  • Collaborating with data engineering, product, media activation and growth strategy teams
  • Clearly articulate complex, technical results and methods from applied models to internal stakeholders across product, analytics and media activation teams

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant data science experience or a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as applied economics, math, or statistics
  • Strong MMM experience; must build the MMM from the ground up
  • Strong programming skills in R and Python
  • Strong analytical track record turning data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Working knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
  • Ability to multi-task across simultaneous projects and deadlines, processing, and communication information action quickly to appropriate parties
  • Self-starter that is proactive, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Experience or, understanding of the digital marketing landscape including, Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic, and general digital marketing strategies is a plus
  • A general understanding of various Ecommerce business models and verticals is a plus

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related 
qualifications, and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching,
