Job Description

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Senior Manager, Social and Influencer Marketing to join our fast-growing content team. This is a multi-faceted role that will guide our clients on their social strategy within the sports and entertainment sponsorship landscape with a focus on storytelling through content and creators.  

We are seeking a seasoned manager with 6+ years of experience who can think strategically, is idea-driven and can manage integrated and / or digital marketing programs that drive relevance and cultural impact. 

  • Prior experience (6+ years) working in social and influencer marketing; experience in an agency environment is a plus   

  • Strategic mindset with experience developing content strategies for clients; you have an ability to strategize, pitch, then execute  

  • Entrenched in culture and social media with an interest in the topics we live and breath: sports, music, the arts, entertainment and more  

  • Self-starter with the ability to identify what’s needed to keep projects moving 

  • A champion of diversity and inclusion - you prioritize diverse perspectives and voices  

  • Comfortable interfacing with clients, leading client and property meetings/calls, tracking deliverables and facilitating next steps with external partners and internal teams  

  • Excellent communication skills; vocal, articulate and can put pen to paper 

  • Ability to work alongside client to identify growth opportunities 

  • Commitment to help grow our business – this means sometimes working non-standard hours, wearing multiple hats when necessary and responding to real-time events under tight deadlines 

  • Well-versed in all things social, from platforms and trends to the creator economy; you stay up-to-date on the industry and have the ability to pitch and present information to clients as needed 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, and potentially overlapping deadlines at once  

  • Ability to understand social analytics and translate them into actionable learnings  

Qualifications

  • This role will report into our Director of Social & Influencer Marketing, helping to lead our end-to-end process from social strategy and influencer partnerships to organic and paid creative development, editorial calendars, campaign execution and reporting 

  • Crafting social-led storytelling to leverage influencers to connect to client objectives 

  • ID, vet, negotiate and manager partnerships, inclusive of inclusive of influencers / talent  

  • Day-to-day program management: ensuring timelines and deliverables are met at all stages of the program (idea sessions, briefings, strategy and deck building, budget management, billing, etc.) 

  • Developing creative concepts and stories that work well across social and pitching those ideas to clients in a way that is digestible  

  • Mentor a growing team  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Creative and Sponsorship/Consulting team  

  • Demonstrate digital and social platform thought leadership and expertise 

  • Work with team to identify emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation 

  • Effectively manage projects and create timelines based on priorities, resource availability and other project requirements 

  • Track and report on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for future activations
