Job Description
This opportunity is within dentsu's integrated global capability that delivers world-class, agile services across the dentsu network - Dentsu Creative, Dentsu Media and Merkle. In this role, you will be part of Merkle, enabling delivery of innovative data and technology solutions for Merkle's global brands.
Software Engineers will write code, test, launch and support large scale development projects. At times they may interact directly with internal and external clients to help brainstorm and create technical solutions to business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solve global Merkle problems through the careful application of technology and process.
- Write quality, tested, high-capacity, and maintainable software.
- Design modern, reliable, and reusable systems.
- Integrate with external clients.
- Decompose complex problems into manageable tasks.
- Write technical specifications, runtime instructions, training materials, and architecture documentation for Merkle systems.
- Help develop best practices and technology efficiencies to streamline work flow.
- Collaborate with multiple Merkle teams to arrive at sound technical solutions to business problems.
- Maintain pre-existing codebase to further the development direction of Merkle.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience.
- BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent time management, planning, and prioritization skills
- Experience developing and debugging Node.js is a plus
- Experience developing with functional programming is a plus
- Experience with Apache, AWS, Docker, and Git is a plus.
- General web-related technology such as HTML, XML, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, modern browser rendering and security models, server and network security, performance analysis
- Experience with Linux systems administration is a plus.
- Experience working on an Agile team a plus.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
